Hugh S. Unger, M.D., F.A.C.S. specializes in general orthopaedics and sports medicine. Dr. Unger began his medical training in 1951 at the University of Tennessee, graduating with a BA. in bacteriol­ogy, and later obtaining an MS. in Bacteriology from the University ofWisconsin-Madison. In 1956, he receiving his medical degreefrom the University ofTennessee. His medical preparation consists of an internship at Kings County Hospital Medical Center in New York, a surgi­cal resident at theJewish Hospital in Brooklyn, NY and receiving training on orthopaedic surgery back at Kings County Hospital Medical Center. Dr. Unger has held several instructor and assistant professor positions in thefields ofbacteriology and orthopaedic surgery. He has also been appointed various chairman positionsfor a number ofmedical centers in the past. He is a member andfellow ofmore than 10 specialty organizations. He has been involved in various publications and presentations
